CBBC Broadcast Graphics and Animation

For CBBC’s brand new educational television series about the human body, Hamyard was tasked with developing, designing and animating all of the show’s graphic content. The brief was to create branding and in-show animations that echoed the style and finish seen on Cartoon Network: funny, irreverent and slapstick with a good measure of the surreal! Using a combination of 2D and 3D animation techniques, we designed a character-based logo for the titles, stings and wipes, then a whole set of weird and wonderful characters for the epic in-show animations to reconstruct stories of everyday accidents.

As part of this ongoing hit TV series, we’ve also been involved in the design of Operation Ouch! spin-off merchandise, including illustrations for the book ‘Your Brilliant Body.’
